A small-scale piloting of SVMI learning materials was undertaken on several Saturdays in October and November 2018 with trainers for adult education at ifa Akademie. These groups focused on the IO1 product and the information for trainers who plan to work with senior adults motivating them to engage as volunteers in migrant integration. Trainers tested PowerPoint-presentations, links to third-party materials, videos and audios. A major discussion was on pedagogical and didactic methodologies used in adult education when working with senior learners. In addition, multicultural aspects and concepts of diversity in today’s immigration societies were discussed in their relevance to teaching.
