On the 22nd of December 2017, SIH organized a meeting with the representatives of the project associated partner - Lithuanian pensioners' union “Bočiai” Vilnius community.
Participants of the meeting expressed their great interest in the project activities and welcomed the new opportunities for cooperation and participation in the pilot training for volunteers. The meeting participant Janina admitted that volunteering is still uncommon among older persons in Lithuania. She believes that the main reason for it is the lack of ability and knowledge about volunteering. Petras, who has been volunteering in Italy, agreed that he sees the project as great opportunity for using their life experience and knowledge and sharing it with migrants coming to Lithuania.
