A small-scale piloting of SVMI learning materials was undertaken on several Saturdays in October and November 2018 with trainers for adult education at ifa Akademie.

On November 29-30, 2018 the project partners from Lithuania, Germany, Greece, Finland and France gathered in Athens for the third project meeting to discuss the progress and to outline the next steps.

The German partner ifa Akademie chose to collaborate with a group of 18 seniors who regularly meet upon invitation of the German-Turkish Forum in Stuttgart.

In Finland, the pilot training took place during October and November 2018.

Very interesting analysis on Integration of migrant women: A key challenge, with limited policy resources. 

The Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe EPALE published an essay about the SVMI piloting in Lithuania.

Two academic experts on adult education and training were involved in a pre-pilot of SVMI learning materials in Stuttgart. The pre-pilot meeting took place in October and November 2018. 

On 27 - 28 October DIAN participated in the Kick-off meeting of the project “NewLife” which took place in Turkey.

Essential findings on how to empower, motivate and train senior volunteer to support migrant integration in cities throughout Europe were presented during the Eurocities Social Forum, held October 23-24, 2018 in Stuttgart.
